Adopt-A-Family Campaign: The KAD Foundation has established this scholarship program to provide a means to supplement educational expenses for Adopt-A-Family college bound students. The scholarship range is in the amount of at least $1,000 to a maximum of $5,000. These scholarships make the difference between furthering education for someone who may not being able to attend school. The KAD Foundation officers meet twice a year to evaluate and award scholarships.

The KAD-H.O.P.E. Program is a new program for Hispanic older adults in Seminole County, Florida.  The program is modeled after the evidence-based Enhance Wellness and Enhance Fitness programs, endorsed by the National Council on Aging, with a 10-year history of producing outstanding health outcomes

Program Outcomes:

• To increase physical activity and access to physical activity.
• To improve knowledge of healthy diet and eating habits.
• Increase socialization among HOPE participants.
• To develop linkages with community referral sources for health and social support.
• To disseminate educational and project information.

Children and Family Homes: The safe haven homes are independent residential service for children and families who are at serious risk of abandonment, abuse, neglect, and homelessness.

International Projects: KAD Foundation provides emergency medical supplies; medical equipment, food, books and educational materials and clothing are sent to International Facilities on a monthly basis.

Back to School Event: KAD Foundation provides backpacks and school supplies to various communities each year.  Last year alone we provided backpacks filled with supplies, brand new clothing and shoes to over 2800 youth.  This year we will host an event and provide these services along with games, activities, haircuts, etc to over 10,000 youth and families.  We have found that this is a tremendous blessing to the families that are in need especially given the state of our current economy.
